Dr Booker and Dr Cooper both practice oral sedation dentistry. We understand that some patients prefer to be treated while sedated due to anxiety relating to dental procedures. Many patients find that they tolerate dentistry easily if they have some sedation prior to an appointment.
Either Ativan (Lorazepam) or Halcion (Triazolam) can be used with very effective results. You will feel very relaxed and groggy and some patients even find themselves drifting off during treatment. We love it when we wake a patient up to tell them their treatment is done!
If you are interested in sedation dentistry we require you to arrive at least one hour prior to your appointment and to have a friend or relative stay at the office during your appointment and be able to escort you home.
